Badsey First School

Admissions

Thank  you for considering Badsey First School for your child.  We understand that choosing a school is a very important decision.  Before doing so, we strongly recommend a visit to our school either for a tour  or for one of our scheduled open mornings.  Either way, you will be warmly welcomed and will be able to see what happens on a day-to-day basis, talk about how you could be involved, and find out how children learn through our exciting and engaging curriculum.

Badsey First School has a set Published Admission Number. This is the number we are obliged to admit into each year group. This number is agreed with Worcestershire County Council and is currently 30 pupils each year.

Although the Governing Body has responsibility for deciding on admissions, the Local Authority will co-ordinate all admissions in its area and will communicate all admission decisions to parents.

The Worcestershire School Admissions website provides thorough details about applying for a school place, ranging from general booklets and guidance, the appeals process and  school transport when you don't live within walking distance of the school.  It can be accessed by clicking here.

Application for 'In Year'

As an academy, in-year applications for places at our school must be made directly to school by completing the Worcestershire in-year application form (available by clicking here) and sending it in to us.  We currently have space in our all of our classes.  This application form must be countersigned by your child's current head teacher if attending a Worcestershire school.
