Admissions
From 13th October - 28th November 2025, a consultation period is open for The GLA Trust 2027/2028 Admissions Policy. For updates to the existing policy, please see the document below, specifically page 11. All queries regarding these admission arrangements should be emailed to admin@glatrust.org.uk by 28th November 2025. Thank you.
Thank you for considering Badsey First School for your child. We understand that choosing a school is a very important decision. Before doing so, we strongly recommend a visit to our school and a personal tour with Mrs Davis or a member of SLT. You will be warmly welcomed and will be able to see what happens on a day-to-day basis and find out how children learn through our exciting and engaging curriculum.
Badsey First School has a set Published Admission Number. This is the number we are obliged to admit into each year group. This number is agreed with Worcestershire County Council and is currently 30 pupils each year (180 pupils in total).
Although the Trustees have responsibility for deciding on admissions, the Local Authority will co-ordinate all admissions in its area and will communicate all admission decisions to parents.
The Worcestershire School Admissions website provides thorough details about applying for a school place, ranging from general booklets and guidance, the appeals process and school transport when you don't live within walking distance of the school. It can be accessed by clicking here.
Application for 'In Year'
As an academy, in-year applications for places at our school must be made directly to school by completing the Worcestershire in-year application form (available by clicking here and sending it in to us). This application form must be countersigned by your child's current head teacher if attending a Worcestershire school.
Please complete the form and return it via email to admin.bfs@glatrust.org.uk or return it to the school office.
