Forest School Event at St Andrews - 18th May

A small group of Year 2 children attended a fantastic Forest School event at St Andrews First School alongside pupils from a number of other local schools. The children had a wonderful time taking part in a range of exciting outdoor activities, including chopping wood, learning how to safely light fires, exploring the forest school area, toasting marshmallows and enjoying a delicious cup of hot chocolate together.

Throughout the day, the children demonstrated excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and teamwork, fully embracing every activity and experience on offer. They represented the school brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of themselves for the maturity and positivity they showed throughout the event.

Evesham Schools Football Tournament - 15th May

A group of children from Years 3, 4 and 5 represented the school brilliantly at the Evesham Schools football tournament, and we could not be prouder of their effort, determination and teamwork throughout the day. Every match was incredibly close and full of excitement, with the overall result coming down to the final 15 seconds of the very last game. Unfortunately, Badsey conceded a late goal, meaning we finished in a fantastic second place overall.

The games were truly nailbiting from start to finish, but the children conducted themselves impeccably throughout the tournament, showing excellent sportsmanship, maturity and respect to every team they faced. A special congratulations must go to Harry C, who was voted Player of the Tournament by the other teams. His outstanding goalkeeping performances earned him comparisons to “Spiderman” thanks to the incredible saves he pulled off during the day!

KS2 RE Trip to the Mosque - 9th February

A selection of pupils across KS2 visited a mosque in Worcester to enrich our RE curriculum. During the visit, they observed a prayer ritual and watched wudu, the washing ritual performed before prayer begins. They learned about Islamic customs and traditions, toured the mosque, and asked questions to help them link their classroom learning with the daily life of a Muslim.

Christmas Pantomime 'Robin Hood' - 10th December

A huge thank you to FABs for funding our wonderful pantomime this year. It provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to broaden their experiences. They thoroughly enjoyed both watching and participating in the performance, and as always, they were treated to a truly fabulous show!

 Rock Steady - 18th November

The children enjoyed a brilliant assembly and workshop led by Rock Steady, where they learned about a variety of rock instruments and where they might have heard them. During the workshop, a group of children were selected to play instruments and perform a song to the tune of We Will Rock You, which they did with great enthusiasm. Rock Steady will be offering music lessons for children who wish to learn electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums, or singing, giving them an exciting opportunity to develop their musical skills.

Year 4 Netball Tournament - 15th October

Our amazing Year 4 netball team took part in a tournament against St Andrews and Harvington. Everyone played their hearts out, and there was some fantastic netball on show! The games were incredibly close, and although we just missed out on the final, the team showed brilliant determination and team spirit. Congratulations to St Andrews, who went on to win the tournament.

We’re so proud of all the children who took part — you played with kindness, enthusiasm, and great teamwork from start to finish. Well done, Team Badsey!

Tesco Blue Tokens

Thank you to all our parents and children for the fantastic support shown through the blue tokens at the Tesco checkout.
